Happy 30th Birthday Greg!!!

And yep, you counted right...there's 30 candles on there :)
You should've seen the smoke in the kitchen!! He did get all the candles blown out in one try too...that's my guy :)

We took a trip this weekend to Vegas to celebrate Greg's 30th Birthday. We spent 4 nights at the NYNY Casino and had a blast!!! Greg's sister Erin and his brother Brant and (his wife) Paige each came for a few nights too. So much fun!! This was the first time we were away from Allison though (Greg's Mom was a gem as a babysitter!!!); we both enjoyed the relaxation, but really really missed Allison by the end of the trip. To see the joy on her face when we got back was priceless!! Our little girl grew up while we were gone though...

I don't think I can ever express how truly blessed I am. I have such a wonderful, fun, loving husband and a beautiful, healthy, happy baby girl. Life is great!!! Even if we did spend a bit too much on the slots, it was worth it :)

The giant US at the America Restaurant. It wasn't quite to scale though...apparently the Alamo was in South Texas, but who's splitting hairs...
Gig 'Em!! Which reminds me...Texas A&M pulled off a huge upset (we were 23 point underdogs) of Texas Tech on Saturday. Too bad the game wasn't televised. We toyed around with the idea of putting money on the game (because in Vegas it's legal), but never got down to the Sports Book to do it.
Greg and his sis acting silly.
Just had to take this picture...
Greg enjoying a Pink's hot dog. I had the burger because I'm not a fan of mystery meat...
Greg and Erin on the casino floor.
My 3 black chips :) I turned $150 in to $300 on the Pai Gow Poker table. It was apparently the only thing I was good at.
Our fancy dinner. Greg's brother took us all out to Emeril's Delmonico Steakhouse. It was by far the best meal we've ever had!!!
The Pumpkin Patch at the Palazzo. It doesn't even come close to what Pappy and Grandma Liz have, but we had to take a picture anyways.
Greg's birthday chocolate sorbet at Delmonico's.
All the gang. Paige (Brant's wife), Erin (Greg's sis), Brant (Greg's bro) and us at the end of our yummy meal.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY TERRIFIC HUSBAND. I LOVE YOU!!!

Warning: Cuteness ahead :)

Just being silly around the house...

Our first attempt at pigtails. Her hair still isn't long enough, but it was worth a shot!!

Our little girl is all grown up!! She can feed herself now, and she's pretty good at it too.
Bathtime cuteness

A&M vs Oklahoma State-Sat 10/10
A cold front came through on Friday, so we knew it wouldn't be hot for the game, but we had no idea how cold it would be!! College Station was even colder than Houston and with the wind blowing and no sun, it stayed in the low 60s all day. Allison had been wearing her cute A&M dress and bloomers, but we had to make a stop at the A&M Bookstore to buy her something warm. They didn't have many options in the 12 month size, so she ended up with this sweatshirt that she can grow in to :)
There was an A Co Reunion (Greg's Band company) this weekend, so after the game we spent some time at Spence Park hanging out with a lot of Greg's Band Buddies. They had Buppy's BBQ cater-yummy!!!-and a good time was had by all.
Allison's new friend Mark.

Allison and Hannah; she's such a cutie!!

Are you ready for some football?!?!

We got watch the Texans get gypped by the Jaguars last week. Some friends had extra tickets they had gotten from a client, so they invited us along. We were at Club Level (which was awesome!!! leather seats and TVs if we got tired of sitting in the air-conditioned Reliant). The Texans lost because of a truly bad (I'm not just saying that because I'm from Houston, it was really a bad call) pass interference call at the end of the 4th. It was exciting though!! Amy and I enjoyed watching the cheerleaders and eating the yummy food :)

There have also been a couple Aggie games that I haven't had time to post pictures of...we're 3-0 right now, so I hope we keep it up!!! I've only made it to 2 of the games though (Utah State and UAB). Having a little one makes planning for gametime a lot harder!!

This is the first game of the season I was able to go to. Greg's Mom babysit, so we enjoyed a quiet, baby-free tailgate and game. The flyover before the game. Greg could quote what type of planes (or are they jets??) they are, I just know they're always loud. It's always interesting to see what the flyover will be; they've had big planes, fast planes, Army helicopters, you name it, it's flown over Kyle Field...The flyover from last week

The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band

Greg played the sax when he was at A&M, so it's always fun to watch him watch the band :)This game they did a bass extraction. The basses (they aren't called tubas at A&M because tu is our rival, so we can't have TUbas) are always so much fun to watch!! Their countermarches are legendary.
The block T.

The wonderful grillmaster cooking up some bacon-wrapped, chorizo and cream cheese jalapenos. Pig tastes good :)
Our little trooper. Even in the College Station heat she is adorable :)

At the tailgate with Daniel and Jaimie (and baby Addison who'll be here in a little over a month!!!).

Kyle Field Student Section-I loved it while I was there, but I definitely appreciate being able to sit in our nice, comfy armchair seats now :) The 12th Man stands for the entire game (except for the opposing team's Band at halftime)
Gig'em Aggies-WHOOP!!!Lady Reveille. This is the best shot I could get of her...people kept getting in my way!!"And now forming at the North End of Kyle Field, the Nationally-Famous FIghtin' Texas Aggie Band". Much to her father's chagrin, Allison didn't seem to enthusiastic about the Band. I can see it in her eyes: why won't these people shut up and let me sleep???
