Christmas 2009

Sorry it's been so long since the last post. We've gotten moved into our new house and just got the computer put together. It's been a crazy couple weeks, but hopefully life will start to settle down...

In case you didn't receive our Christmas card, here's the pic we took for it (it was at the condo before we moved).

Christmas at Greg's brother's house
Allison with her Baird cousins, Bailey and Blaine.

Bailey and Allison had almost identical pink blankets, and being Day Care babies, they we both pretty protective of them. Cue the tug-of-war...

Playing with Blaine...I think my baby is a bully...

After moving into our new house
I couldn't get our tree set up until Christmas Eve because of all the moving; here's how Allison "helped".

Christmas Eve dinner in our new dining room.
Allison loves potatoes!!

Our tree and mantle on Christmas morning.
Mom, Dad, Mike, Jess and their kids were all able to come down, so it made for a fun first Christmas in our home :)

In case you aren't a Petty, the strings are a family tradition. Santa ties a string to your stocking, then winds it around the house (upstairs, downstairs, sometimes outside) and it leads to your big gift. It's so much fun!! Greg even got to enjoy it this year :)

Opening presents

Allison isn't walking on her own yet, but she sure is trying.

Allison has her very own saxophone just like her Daddy, who was a member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band!

Greg unwrapped the "Texas Snowball" to find all the money inside :) Thanks Pappy and Grandma; it will sure help out with the new house!!

Christmas Day
Allison and her aunt Erin

Yummy

All the gang: Greg's parents, his sister Erin, my brother Mike, his wife Jess, and my Mom and Dad. It was so fun to host my first Christmas dinner :)

I just love them!!!

Yay for STRINGS! Definitely our favorite tradition at Christmas! And Happy Birthday to sweet Allison. She's so adorable.
