The Baird family: Russell's wedding and the trip to Hilton Head Island

Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Russell and LaToya Bell!!

This weekend we traveled to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for Russell and LaToya's wedding. We're so glad we were able to make the trip and we're happy to have LaToya as part of the family; she fits into our crazy bunch pretty well!!

Russell and LaToya are so cute together and we wish them the best! They're coming to Tyler for the obligatory Bell Family Farm Pumpkin Patch season next month, then again for Thanksgiving, and we can't wait to spend more time together. LaToya has a wonderful family and we were so blessed to get to meet and get to know them this weekend.

A few fun memories of the trip:

**The salesman at the car rental counter in Savannah: "Right now we have you down for a full-size car which is the Chevy Impala, but if you're interested in one with a few more bells and whistles, you could upgrade to the Ford Taurus for $5 more per day." Whooo-hooo!! Upgrading to a Taurus, life is goooood...

**I can also now mark item 37 off my bucket list; it involves an airplane bathroom and a poopy diaper. I'll let you go from there...

**We planned the flight there for Friday's naptime and since Allison had been a bit under the weather gave her a dose of Benadryl when we got to the airport. Needless to say, on her first flight ever the little one was asleep before takeoff and we had to wake her up when we landed. It was a good 2-hour flight!!

**All you can eat seafood. 'Nuff said.

Hilton Head Island is such a quaint little area. They had this splashpad near the beach and our hotel on a little public walkway.

Allison never learned...she kept sticking her face in the waterspouts and all we could do was laugh.

Saturday afternoon got a bit overcast, which was pretty good beach weather for us since all the sunbathers were gone. We saw a school of dolphins swimming and jumping around, but this is the best pic we could manage.
