Since school is now closed for Winter Break, I actually have time to update our blog. Life has been going full-speed lately!!
In case you aren't a Facebook User or haven't gotten our Christmas card yet, we're expecting Baby Baird #2!!! Our due date is June 18th, which works out perfectly with the school year; my fear is going into labor in front of a bunch of 12-year-olds...talk about the birds and bees!! Everything seems to be going well with our little kidney bean, so I'll be sure to keep everyone updated the further along I get.
Allison is blossoming into the cutest little girl ever! She definitely has grown into her own person recently. We started "Big Girl Boot Camp" this past weekend; she moved into a big bed (full-size mattress on the floor), started potty training and threw out all the pacifiers. She's taking it pretty well.
Keep scrolling down for lots of new pictures...

YAY!! CONGRATS!! We did the same thing with Isabella before having this second one. She did awesome as I'm sure Allison will as well. If you get frustrated with potty training-call me! It helps to have a support group cause it's very frustrating at first. Good luck!
Potty training already? I have no idea when that typically comes into play but the idea that Allison is only a few months older than Lydia makes me excited/nervous at the prospect that we could be doing that soon.
By the way -- congratulations on the new baby! We were so excited when we got your Christmas card.
I started with Abram at 2 years old, but figured out with him and with Chloe that the magic age seemed to be 2 years and 3 months old and then by 2 years and 4 months, they both pretty much had the potty training down. I don't think it hurts to start at 2 years old though, definitely a good guarantee to not having to change diapers anymore in the near future. . . which is what really motivates me to get them trained! Nice idea to do it over Christmas break when you can be consistent and with her to figure it out.
