The Kitchen is Finished!!!

So here it is.....

I worked really hard getting it all tiled and grouted one weekend and Greg surprised me by getting the electrical switches and plugs changed out while I was in Tyler. It's so nice to have an awesome, brand-new kitchen to cook in!! Too bad we didn't have any "before" pictures to go with it, but if you ever saw it before, you'll know how much better this is (the cabinet doors aren't falling off any more!!).

Now on to the next projects....the bathrooms. We demoed everything in the guest bath this morning and Greg spent some time patching and retexturing the walls. Hopefully we'll be able to work on this project bit-by-bit over the next few weeks and have it done before too long.

I started back to work again (not that I had much time off because of teaching summer school). We have a new principal this year and, guess what, she has said we aren't allowed to wear capris this year!!! That's especially horrible to me because it is almost impossible to find maternity pants that are long enough. Luckily I've found two pairs of slacks that have a long enough inseam and LOTS of skirts and dresses I'll wear for the rest of the year. Thanks Mom for teaching me how to sew and re-hem pants :)

Volleyball season starts back up on Aug 25th when school does, so with Aggie Football tailgating, teaching, remodeling, Greg working lots of required OT, and getting baby stuff ready, we'll be super-busy this Fall. Lots to do, lots to do....

Exciting news!!! We have our ultrasound scheduled for this coming Thursday at 4:30, so expect to hear from us not too long after with the "is it a boy or a girl" news. Greg and I each have an idea of what we think it is, but we don't agree with each other, so we'll see who's right :)

That's about all the rambling that comes to mind. Greg and I are going to head out for a dinner-and-a-movie date :)

Hey Andrea! The kitchen looks great! Seriously - I love it. Now you guys need to come do mine. ;-)

As far as tall maternity pants, check Ann Taylor Loft's website. I know they have maternity clothes and I know they make tall pants. I THINK they make tall maternity also.... not sure on that. Some of their pieces may be a little on the expensive side, but when you have a need for them and supply is limited, it may be worth it for you. Their stuff always fits really nice too and is great for a professional look at work.

Sounds like you guys are definitely going to be busy this fall. Let me know if I can help in any way with the baby preparations. I am certainly no pro, but we went through it recently so I might be able to help with registering and stuff. Babiesrus.com has reviews you can read about each product before you buy. I did a lot of research and then went and registered. I helped a lot.

Can't wait to know what the sex of the baby is!! Exciting stuff. Talk to you soon. Say hi to Greg for us. :-) -Jillian

Hi Andrea. This is your cousin, Jessi. What a huge accomplishment. Beautiful kitchen! Congrats on your pregnancy. We can't wait to hear pink or blue!
